The Perfect Wedding Guest Dress

As the mom of a one-year-old, I spend 99% of my days in comfy clothes. Leggings are my best friends, and I’m almost always in some sort of loose t-shirt and baggy cardigan. While I will
never
go tired of wearing socially-acceptable pajamas, you guys know I can’t say no to a good dress. When you slip on a glamorous dress, it’s a magical moment. As much as I love being a mommy, it’s nice to wear something fancy every now and then and really feel like my old self – especially when it’s a beautiful Gal Meets Glam dress!
Last month I shared why this
Gal Meets Glam sun dress
is
my favorite dress of all time
, and today I’m sharing another GMG winner with you that just might be the perfect dress to wear to a wedding – or church, dinner, date night, or any special event! Julia Engel brings us timelessly elegant designs month after month, and the Jane dress has been one of my favorite designs so far. As soon as I saw
this dress
in a bright cherry blossom pink, I knew it needed to be added to my wardrobe. Keep reading to see why I love this dress and why Gal Meets Glam dresses are
absolutely
worth every penny!

The Perfect Dress to Wear to A Wedding

Let the record show that this is the first time I have ever worn a
midi dress
and actually liked how I looked. Seriously. I’m 5’3 and pear-shaped, so midi-length dresses tend to look horrendous on me; however, Julia Engel puts some sort of glamorous voodoo into her dress designs because they’re miraculously forgiving and flattering on all body shapes.
The
Gal Meets Glam Jane dress
is a winner for so many reasons. As I already mentioned, the design is super flattering. The fabric drapes in the most beautiful way, and the double bow tie detail at the waist is so feminine without appearing girly or childish. If you’re looking for a timeless dress to add to your collection, I’d highly recommend checking out this dress (available in different colors
here
). It’s especially perfect to wear to a wedding because the design is conservative without being boring, the relaxed waist will allow you to dance, eat, and walk in total comfort, and the classic design will never go out of style. It’s a winner on all fronts!
On a side note, while I am not currently pregnant, I do think this dress would ABSOLUTELY be bump-friendly for the pregnant mamas out there!

Now here’s the thing. Gal Meets Glam dresses are a bit of an investment. They’re not outrageously expensive, but they’re not cheap either. In my opinion, they are absolutely worth the money, and here’s why. These dresses are not your run-of-the-mill trendy dresses. They’re timeless wardrobe pieces that will never go out of style. You aren’t buying these dresses to wear to one event. You’re buying them to wear to dozens of events over a decade. They’re seriously that beautiful.
I currently own two dresses from this line, and I am so pleased with my purchases. I’ve already worn my
Abigail dress
at least a dozen times, and I can’t wait to wear this
gorgeous midi dress
to a wedding I’m attending this winter and another wedding next summer. I’m sure I’ll wear it to tons of events before those weddings too. Let me put it this way, when I don’t want to spend time getting ready but I need to look like a million bucks, I’m going to put on a Gal Meets Glam dress every single time.
