Styling feminine florals in peplum and denim. I never want to go too girly so adding the skinny jeans to this girly top brought balance. This airy top was a breath of fresh air to my wardrobe.
Floral Peplum Blouse by Current Air
I love how peplum can dress up any outfit. This flirty detail just adds to the feminine vibes of the floral print. Putting skinny jeans with the top helps balance the volume of the peplum. I mentioned in an earlier post that a cute top, jeans, and heels is my formula for a night out look. That’s why I added my favorite SJP heels. They are a nice contrast to the light floral print.
The fabric of this top is extremely sheer so I wore my Wacoal nude bra underneath. (You could do a cami but I didn’t want to add more bulk.) This is my new favorite bra so I needed to find a way to share it here on the blog. It’s hard to find bras that fit well and are made with quality. If you don’t have a Wacoal bra or never tried one, you need to asap.
Getting Back to Normal
Our weekend went smoothly in regards to getting my son Evan to Indiana University for his freshman year. He has a huge room all to himself which we helped him set up. It was so hard driving away but I’m glad he is settled in. I’m going to try to enjoy the freedom of just having to take care of one child now.
Speaking of one child, my son Austin starts high school today. His school was planning a hybrid model for instruction but it got changed last minute to full remote for the beginning of the year. I’m a little disappointed but hopeful that he will get to school soon. I realize that it’s better to be safe than sorry. What are your kids doing as far as schooling? In-person, hybrid, remote? Whatever is happening on your end, I’m praying for a smooth transition.
Have a terrific week! XO
