Club Monaco Dress (20% off!) | Sezane Booties (Soldout | Similar) | Sezane Bag (Back in stock! )
I love fall and I love florals, so it’s no surprise I’m as content as they come with this budding fall trend. Despite being classified as technically trendy, the fall floral trend also feels quite classic. With a feminine flare paired with romantic undertones, they’re are a lovely way to encompass a new element of fall, whether you’re bundling up for breezier temps or seeking out a way to stay seasonal during a sunnier fall day.
As rightfully popular as this playful pattern is becoming, where is the best place to invest in them? Some of my favorite floral pieces come from romantic womenswear guru, Rebecca Taylor. While their contemporary collections typically run on the higher end of the spectrum, there are often several steals over on their sale page. I scooped up this black floral dress from this post on sale 75% off in New York. While this exact style is no longer available, I’ve linked several other stunning, on sale fall floral finds below, including a few selects in this exact print.
Club Monaco is another favorite for so many reasons. Chic, classic, and owned by Polo Ralph Lauren it’s a great middle-tier retailer for staples that are well-made and last well beyond one season. One of my favorite pieces from their latest collection is this off the shoulder, midi, floral dress. It’s currently on sale 20% off and been restyled on repeat in my personal fall wardrobe rotation.
If fall florals even remotely interest you, grab a pen and mark this date in your calendar — On November 2, H&M is releasing their collection with Erdem, online and in select stores and it is not to be missed. Remember the days when everyone went ballistic for the H&M x Balmain collaboration? Well, expect the same type of mayhem when the London-based label releases its own exclusive line. Filled with romantic silhouettes and lots of beautiful florals, H&M x Erdem is another great start when looking for designer-quality florals at budget-friendly prices.
Once you’ve got your fall florals covered, what are some ways to style them? This year, I especially love a sleek velvet or suede bootie! They’re quite versatile paired with high & low hems and help transform florals to be even more appropriate for fall. I’ve been wearing this particular pair on repeat, paired with this dresses, jeans, and several tight + mini skirt combos. The block heel is super comfy, and the subtle texture instantly adds an elevated seasonal, luxe touch.
Before scouring the internet for a new batch of floral pieces, scan through your closet and see if there are any floral pieces that you already have. Maybe a summer tank or a favorite floral dress? If any of the pieces have darker undertones, you can play these elements up, transform them to be "fall-proof", and layer a sleek, classic top or turtleneck underneath like this one that I wore with my other favorite floral dress HERE.
Lastly, because florals often reflect many natural earth elements and tones, consider wearing them with other natural hues of the season. I shared a whole post on some of my favorite fall hues, here, but consider seeking out accessories in some of fall’s most popular colors like forest green or deep mulberry. I was a bit skeptical once I picked up this green bucket bag at Sezane in New York, but found I actually wear it just as much if not more than my go-to black handbags, and even if I’m feeling super casual and uncommitted, it adds just the right fall touch!
