I do realize that getting dressed in a workwear look is not the norm right now. (This look was shot several weeks ago before all the craziness.) Most of us are sporting denim, activewear, or loungewear. Eventually many of us will have to go back to work. (Wish I knew when!) This double breasted blazer is something to consider throwing on when that happens.
Cambridge Knit Blazer by Daniel Rainn
This blazer by Daniel Rainn was a rental from Nuuly. Since I am an 80’s baby, I cannot forget the double breasted blazers that were everywhere. This decade has had a major comeback this season so I couldn’t help go down memory lane with this piece.
I was pleasantly surprised on how soft and comfortable this blazer is to wear. It has nice structure with its tiny shoulder pads and and long lapels but it still moves with your body nicely because of the knit fabric. If you take a closer look, you can see that the color is green and not grey. Perfect color for spring and summer. I prefer the blazer to be worn open instead of buttoned up.
Trying to Keep it Together
It’s been an up and down week here at the Eldridge-Leibrock house. I’ve been enjoying getting extra time to pray, practice, and hang out with my family. But the stress of not knowing what comes next does get to me. I’m wondering if my son will get to experience his high school prom and graduation. My good friend Andrea from Living on Cloud Nine had a wonderful blog post about her feelings on missing milestones like this and it really resonated with me. Click here for the post.
Certain scripture passages are really helpful to grasp onto during these uncertain times so I thought I would share one that I’m trying to keep at the forefront of my mind.
John 16:33 – I have told you these things so that in me you have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
Taking heart one day at a time. XO
