As much as I love D.C., I also love getting out of D.C. as much as possible. No disrespect to my lovely city, but sometimes I need an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Ok, I’m lying — on the weekends, I replace D.C. hustle and bustle with, well, the hustle and bustle of another major, Mid-Atlantic City. As much as I love vacationing to far-away places, I do not have unlimited funds or unlimited PTO, so I travel to a lot of other cities that are nearby. I’ve lived in Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York and Richmond in my life, and luckily for me, they’re all a quick bus/train ride away from D.C. I don’t go to the beach much, but I do love exploring nearby major cities.
The one thing I need on my travels? A comfy pair of shoes. All of the areas I travel to are super walkable cities, and I can walk up to 5 miles in one day just exploring the town. I got to take my new pair of Crocs out on the town when I visited Philly this past weekend, and guys: this is not the Crocs you used to know. I opted for their Leigh II Ankle Graphic Wedge sandal and it held up well on all of my Philly adventures. Plus, they’re insanely budget friendly: this wedge is less than $60!
I can’t wait to throw these shoes on for my next vacation. I’ll be in Punta Cana next week, so I’m sure they’ll look great with all of my sundresses! Do you have any go-to shoes for all of your vacations?
