SUMMER WARDROBE ESSENTIALS:
One Piece Suit | Straw Hat | Wicker Handbag | Faux Leather Sandals | Tie-Knot Dress ℅ Abercrombie
Can you believe Memorial Day Weekend is upon us? Spring went by super fast, but I’m looking forward to all the pool days, cookouts and spontaneous trips that are bound to happen during the summer. I also plan on exploring Philly as much as possible before I move out next month!
Since summer is right around the corner, I’m teaming up with Abercrombie today to share 5 of my essential pieces that every girl needs for her summer wardrobe.

5 ESSENTIALS EVERY GIRL NEEDS FOR HER SUMMER WARDROBE

The One-Piece Suit
I have to say that I am super happy that one-piece suits are back in style. Sometimes, I get super self-conscious about my midsection and the surgical scar that’s on my stomach, so it’s nice to have a one-piece on those days where I want to cover up a bit more at the pool.
Abercrombie has an incredible swim selection — I picked up this cheery yellow suit from Abercrombie a few weeks ago, and I’m in love with the fit. For reference, I usually wear a size 2 or 4 in clothing, and the size Small suit fit perfectly. It also comes in black, and a striped and floral pattern as well, just in case yellow isn’t your thing!
A Straw Bag
Is there anything that screams summer more than a straw bag? I think not! This circle wicker bag from Abercrombie almost reminds me of a mini picnic basket and can jazz up any ensemble. This bag sold out a little fast. However, I also love this embroidered straw tote as well.
An Easy, Breathable Dress
The worst part of the summer? The humidity, of course! It starts to feel pretty swamp-like here in the Mid-Atlantic after Memorial Day, so I usually opt for comfortable, breathable fabrics in the summer like cotton or linen. I wore this knot front dress during my vacation in Florida last week, and it stood up to the humidity well. Plus, I got a ton of compliments on it!
Quality Sandals
Slide sandals have been my jam for the last couple of summers. I love that you can just slip into a pair and head out the door — no fuss, and IMO, they look a lot more stylish than a pair of flip-flops does! These faux leather sandals from Abercrombie have held up incredibly well so far, and practically match every summer outfit I own.
A Straw Hat
Not only is a hat incredibly stylish, but it can give some much-needed protection from the sun. A classic straw hat is timeless, and you can wear it season after season. This straw hat travels incredibly well — I was able to put it in my suitcase, and it didn’t lose its shape! If you’re looking for a hat that’s a bit smaller, this straw fedora hat is also a great option.
